Robert Powers is a Trial Attorney and Counselor at Law whose practice focuses on preserving the legal rights and due process of Maryland’s citizens.

Before establishing his Maryland legal practice, Robert Powers served 25 years in the United States Marine Corps culminating his career with the Department of the Navy/Marine Corps’ Physical Evaluation Board (PEB). The PEB is an administrative board that determines fitness and disability benefits on behalf of the Secretary of the Navy for our wounded, ill, and injured Marines and Sailors.

As a Marine, Robert served both in the enlisted and officer corps. His enlisted billets included Infantry Assault-man, Parris Island Drill Instructor, and Fleet Anti-Terrorist Security Team (FAST) Platoon Sergeant during the Gulf War. As a Marine Officer, he served as Force Reconnaissance Commander, Maritime Special Purpose Force Commander for 22nd MEU, Light Armored Reconnaissance Officer, Naval Academy Instructor, and Congressional Aide.

During his military career, Robert received numerous awards and recognition for his leadership and performance during peacetime and war.

Robert Powers holds several degrees. He obtained his Juris Doctor cum laude from American University, Washington College of Law, where he also received the Newman Prize for Trial Advocacy. He holds a Master of Science in Leadership and Human Resource Development from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a Bachelor of Arts
in History summa cum laude from the Citadel.

Robert, married to the former Faye Penner of Venice, Florida since 1983, has two daughters, Jessica, and Rachael.  Robert and Faye are members of the First Baptist Church of Crofton, Maryland.

As a Trial Attorney and Counselor at Law, Robert Powers dedicates his time to preserving the legal rights and due process of Maryland’s citizens. In this capacity, he maintains a general law practice involving litigation and trial, contract law, domestic law, business law, probate, and wills and estates. He is a member in good standing with the Maryland and Florida Bar.
